Our Leadership

Letter from the Director
Dear Holiday Express Family, Friends, and Supporters,
“Music has healing power; it has the ability to take people out of themselves for a few hours.” Elton John
Over the years, we have seen how music affects those we serve in the community. It brings us together to help reduce stress and make us feel more upbeat and positive about life – and let’s face it, a holiday party with a live band is just fun! While planning in-person events where we can connect face-to-face with our guests, we have also learned how to adapt and will have a virtual component if necessary.
As we enter our 30th season here at Holiday Express, I am excited to partner with our volunteers, community supporters, board, and staff to continue to grow the organization. For all who play a part in delivering the gift of human kindness during the holidays, we are truly grateful for your support, dedication, and commitment to our mission – we could not do this without all of you!
With gratitude,
Eileen

About our Founder
Tim McLoone
Tim McLoone, a modern-day Renaissance man, founded Holiday Express in 1993 with the aim of making a positive difference in the lives of those in need. This volunteer organization, which is celebrating its 30th season in 2022, brings music, gifts, and holiday cheer to the less fortunate through over 100 events. Tim’s love for music, along with his background in athletics and entertainment, led to the creation of Holiday Express. He is a talented musician and was a member of the Harvard All-American Track and Field Team. In addition to his musical pursuits, Tim has worked as a sports announcer, covering events such as the U.S. Olympic Trials and the New York Marathon. Off-camera, he directed the U.S. Men’s Olympic Trials and served as the musical director for the Rockefeller Center Tree Lighting Ceremony. Tim also serves as the Director of Game Operations and Arena Announcer for Seton Hall Men’s basketball. When he isn’t involved in his various projects, Tim performs with his band and owns twelve restaurants. Despite his busy schedule, he values his time at home with his wife and children in Little Silver, NJ.
