12/10/09 Asbury Park Press front-page article, Holiday Express spreads Christmas cheer to those in need by Jennifer Bradshaw. This event, for more than 300 Easter Seals adults and children, was held at Christian Brothers Academy. Volunteers included 40 students from CBA's Lasallian Youth. Food was donated by Jersey Mike's Subs.

This event, to be held June 12, 2009, will celebrate the return of more than 2,800 New Jersey National Guard soldiers who were deployed to Iraq one year ago. Holiday Express will be part of the festivities. This will be a wonderful follow-up to the Holiday Express December, 2008 event held for families of deployed solider at Convention Hall in Asbury Park.
On Monday, April 27, 2009, Norman A. Bleshman Regional Day School, a school that serves severely, multiply-disabled students held a Roll-A-Thon to raise money for Holiday Express and Special Olympics. Students were treated to a lap or two around the parking lot
on some fancy bikes, tried their skills at the basketball hoops; and even planted marigolds and tomato plants in recognition of Earth Day. All this took place under beautiful sunny skies with rock 'n roll music adding to the festive mood of the day. Pictured is student David, filling the pot with fresh soil and plants as
